In Honor of August King

—The annual Golf 4 BOS tournament was created in the honor of August King who was born with Bohring-Opitz Syndrome (BOS). Bohring-Opitz Syndrome (BOS) is an extremely rare genetic syndrome. There are fewer than 600 cases worldwide. This syndrome is diagnosed by genetic testing and is a mutation in the ASXL1 gene. The leading cause of death is respiratory infections. Patients with BOS can have feeding difficulties, recurring respiratory infections, sleep apnea, developmental delay and failure to thrive.   Because of ( BOS) rarity August father Brian King combined his love for golf and his unwavering love for August a created a event that would be a way he could bring awareness and support for a syndrome with such little knowledge.
